OUR SPA ETIQUETTE & POLICIES
To ensure every guest enjoys the calm, safe, and restorative experience Emerald is known for, we kindly ask that all visitors observe the following:
WHISPER POLICY & QUIET ENVIRONMENT
Emerald Day Spa is a place of rest and renewal. We kindly ask all guests and staff to maintain whispered voices in all common areas, including the front desk, hallways, and lounges. This helps protect the serenity of those receiving treatments and supports a mindful, inclusive environment for all.
SCENT-FREE SPACE
We are a synthetic scent-free spa. Please do not wear perfume, cologne, or scented body products during your visit—especially for massage treatments.
We use unscented and dye-free detergents and cleaning products throughout the clinic. While we occasionally offer pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils, these are natural and generally do not cause the same sensitivities as synthetic fragrances. Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe space for those with allergies and sensitivities.
CELL PHONES & DIGITAL SILENCE
We ask that you silence your phone and refrain from phone conversations while in the spa. Disconnecting from digital distractions not only enhances your own experience—it helps preserve the tranquility that our clients value.
CANCELLATION & DEPOSIT POLICY
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. Late cancellations or no-shows directly impact our small business and the livelihood of our spa professionals.
To protect the time and care we extend to every guest, the following policies are in effect:
Cancellation Windows

Treatments under 2 hours require 24 hours’ notice (by 5 PM the day before).

Treatments 2 hours or longer, or couples’ treatments, require 48 hours’ notice (by 5 PM, two days prior).
Deposits & Booking

A valid credit card or 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

Couples’ treatments and services two hours or longer must be secured with a 50% deposit, automatically charged at booking.
How to Cancel

Cancellations must be sent via email only to: info@emeralddayspa.ca

We do not accept cancellations by phone or voicemail.
Missed Appointments & Fees

Late cancellations or cancellations outside the designated window will be charged 50% of the treatment cost.

No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.

If your booking was secured with a gift card, the corresponding value will be forfeited.
Online Bookings
Appointments made online without a credit card on file will be held only until 5 PM, five (5) days prior to the scheduled date. After this point, the appointment may be released.
As a courtesy, we do our best to send a confirmation by email or phone; however, it is your responsibility to keep track of your scheduled appointments.
